Chris Evans wrote an article, The Effectiveness of M-Learning in the Form of Podcast Revision Lectures in Higher Education, which describes the outcome of a survey completed by students who had access to using podcasts for revision of previously given lectures. While the actual effects of podcasts on instructional design and learning has not been fully established, it is obvious that podcasting has the potential to dramatically improve learning.

With graduate school, a one year old daughter and family responsibilities, I only recently claimed the chance to completely read Bard William’s Educator’s Podcast Guide. This book, as the title states, is a well concise guide that explains how to create a podcast, the instructional uses, available podcasts and how they support learning in the various content areas.
